September 13, 2023 – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the southbound Interstate 95 off-and on-ramps at the Allegheny Avenue Interchange (Exit 25) in Philadelphia were reopened this morning nearly two weeks ahead of schedule following the reconstruction of Allegheny Avenue between I-95 and Richmond Street.
The ramps were closed on August 14 for reconstruction of Allegheny Avenue, closing access to and from southbound I-95 at the interchange (Exit 25) in Port Richmond.
The road work was part of the final stage of PennDOT’s $31.2 million I-95/AF2 project that reconstructed sections of Delaware, Castor, and Allegheny avenues to improve traffic flow between the port area and I-95.
