Defining needs and limits for I-95 reconstruction from Center City to South Philadelphia
PennDOT is working on a long-term, multi-phase project to rebuild and improve the I-95 corridor in southeastern Pennsylvania.
The I-95 CSP Planning Study seeks to define project needs and limits for the reconstruction of “Sector B”, a six-mile stretch of Interstate from Spring Garden Street in Central Philadelphia to the Girard Point Bridge in South Philadelphia.
Key considerations include managing traffic congestion, improving highway operations, and supporting connections between I-95 and City streets and neighborhoods.
