I-95 Ramp, Lane Closures at Night
Next Week in Center City

September 14, 2018 – Interstate 95 motorists will encounter a ramp closure at Market Street and double lane closures between the Washington Avenue/Columbus Boulevard (Exit 20) and Interstate 676/Callowhill (Exit 22) interchanges in Philadelphia for construction activities on a project to install a new underpass lighting system in the covered section of I-95 near Dock Street. All operations will take place from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning.
 
The work schedule is:
  • Monday, September 17, and Tuesday, September 18, the ramp from Market Street to I-95 South will be closed. Motorists will be directed to travel north on 5th Street, west on Arch Street, north on 7th Street and follows signs to Interstate 676 East to reach I-95 South;
  • Monday, September 17, and Tuesday, September 18, the two right lanes will be closed on southbound I-95;
  • Wednesday, September 19, and Thursday, September 20, the two left lanes will be closed on southbound I-95; and
  • Friday, September 21, the two left lanes will be closed on northbound I-95.
PKF-Mark III, Inc. of Newtown, Bucks County is the general contractor on the $29,884,795 improvement project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

I-95, I-295 Overnight Lane Closures
Next Week in Bucks County

September 14, 2018 –Interstate 95 and Interstate 295 motorists will encounter double lane closures in both directions next week between the Academy Road and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges for construction activities on a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of I-95 and I-295 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County.
 
The work schedule is:
  • Monday, September 17, through Friday, September 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound I-95 and eastbound I-295 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 413 (Bristol) interchanges for paving; 
  • Monday, September 17, through Thursday, September 20, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, northbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges for bridge dam installation; and
  • Monday, September 17, through Thursday, September 20, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, westbound I-295 and southbound I-95 between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges, for subbase installation. 
In addition, single lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound I-95 between Academy Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges on Monday, September 17, through Thursday, September 20, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for guide rail installation.

James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the $29,633,134 project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
