November 11, 2020 – PennDOT’s contractor will be working during the overnight hours through approximately November 20th to complete demolition of the ramp from the Betsy Ross Bridge to southbound Interstate 95.
The contractor will work Mondays through Thursdays from 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following mornings, weather permitting.
This work needs to be done during the evening and overnight hours because it requires lane closures on I-95 to protect motorists from demolition debris. Lane closures on I-95 are restricted to periods of low traffic volume
Construction of a new ramp will follow demolition. The new ramp is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete. Several other ramps at this interchange will be reconstructed over the current contract that extends into late 2022.
We apologize for any inconvenience to nearby residents during this necessary operation.
