Comly Street Closed for Several Weeks for I-95 Bridge Demolition in Philadelphia

November 1, 2020 – Comly Street will be closed between Tacony Street and Keystone Street for several weeks beginning on Monday, November 2 for Interstate 95 bridge demolition, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists will be detoured south on Tacony Street, west on Van Kirk Street, then north on Torresdale Avenue to Comly Street.

The closure is part of PennDOT’s $79 million project to reconstruct I-95 between Carver and Levick streets, and rebuild two bridges carrying the interstate over Comly and Van Kirk streets.
